Energy
Deregulation is when a state decides to open up the
energy market and let other companies compete to offer
you the same service for less. Most local utilities
do not make money off the customers on the supply end
but on the delivery charge to get the power into your
home or business.
The
outlook for Energy in the United States Of America looks
very promissing now that energy companies are competing
in the energy supply markets within 17 states and more
to follow. Most states would like to consider deregulating
the energy markets and should to make the state more
money at the end of the day.
States
that have deregulated their electricity include Connecticut,
New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Oregon, Texas,
Arizona, Washington D.C., Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania,
Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Michigan, Virginia, New
Hampshire and Ohio. Electricity has been deregulated
in these states to increase competition and lower electrical
prices.
You
can lower your electric bill if your state or county
is deregulated, just call your local utility company
for energy and gas and ask them if you can buy from
a different supplier for energy or gas. Then ask for
a list of suppliers within your area.
